The Longwood University Residential and Commuter Life Program is designed and managed to contribute to student learning and personal development. The University recognizes that the residential experience is a significant part of Longwood's mission.
Here's what Longwood students had to say about residential life and their dining experience:
"Our residential environment helps create strong relationships."
"My residence hall is so diverse, it really helped me open up."
"The dining hall is a friendly place where everyone feels comfortable and nobody has to eat alone."
And in a recent survey, approximately 90 percent of the students expressed their satisfaction with the food. In addition to the daily entree selections, you may select from the pasta bar, salad bar, omelet bar, yogurt and ice cream bar, the grill, and the deli as well as vegetarian and vegan selections.
Each room has: Internet access - port-per-pillow; cable TV; and voicemail at no additional cost. Many students bring small refrigerators and microwaves.
As a junior and senior you may have the opportunity to transition to the real world by living in a new, high-amenity apartment. Longwood manages three complexes that have the benefits such as clubhouses, fitness centers, entertainment rooms, washer/dryer in each apartment, and private bedrooms and baths.
